WYNNEWOOD, PA. May 26,1998. Artist Diane Hark has accepted an invitation from the newly dedicated Betty and Milton Katz Jewish Community Center,1301 Springdale Road, at Kresson Cherry Hill, N.J. to exhibit her award winning watercolor and acrylic paintings. The show will begin on June 25, with a gala reception in her honor at 5PM until 8PM and continue running through to July 26.

The paintings demonstrate Diane Hark's sensitive use of color and shadings, to capture images of cherished memories of the places she has visited. Her crafted brush strokes rekindle fond recollections of past times.

The show is described as a remarkable display of action in motion as the Seaventure slices through the waves to round the buoy. Paintings, such as Flying High on the Hobie Cat, unites two brothers riding the surf. The tranquility of a Victorian house, Windows on Thurlow, looks out to sea waiting for summer to begin. In this world of high tech it is easy to forget the pure emotional experience of sitting on the beach listening to the water or the wind blowing through your hair. This spirit of nature is what Diane Hark captures in her work.

Diane Hark, a Philadelphia native, studied art at all the wonderful Philadelphia schools, including The Philadelphia Art Museum, The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, The Woodmere Art Gallery and The Moore Institute. She has won most of the prizes given throughout the area in her many juried shows and continues to exhibit in every category in New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Connecticut. She continues to study and paint in her studio, surrounded by orchids and Chopin.
