Award
winning watercolor artist, Diane Hark, Wynnewood, Pa, has
been accepted to exhibit her original watercolors at the
Philadelphia Sketch Club juried “WORKS ON PAPER” exhibition.
The show opens January 11 and runs through January 26, 2008.
Opening reception is Sunday, January 13, 2-5 pm at the
Sketch Club. On display with all the accepted artists will
be Ms. Hark’s “ Portofino”, a colorfully beautiful seascape
of a harbor off the coast of the charming Italian
countryside. Ms Hark’s signature reflections figure
prominately in the foreground setting off the sloping
mountainside in the distance. RB Strauss is the noted juror
of the exhibition. Mr. Strauss is the Art Critic for the
Greater Philadelphia Publications. This Historical Landmark,
founded in 1860, is the oldest artists club in America. It
is located at 235 S. Camac Street and is open to the public.

The Club’s low cost workshops and competitions are sustained
by the membership and friends as well as over twenty major
foundation, corporations and historical organizations.
In February the Art Committee of the Academy of Notre dame
de Mur is celebrating the THIRTY FIFTH ANNUAL ART SHOW. Ms.
Hark has been invited along with 80 other esteemed regional
artists to exhibit in this prestigious exhibition. The
opening reception is Friday, February 1, 6-8 pm and runs
through to February 7, 2008. Tickets can be purchases at the

Ms Hark, an alumni of PAFA, Philadelphia Museum of Art, is a
signature member of the Philadelphia Sketch Club, Artists’
Equity and many National Watercolor Societies. She Is a
board member of the PWCS and exhibits regularly throughout
regional galleries. Ms Hark continues to donate to numerous
local fundraising events.
